About
my journey so far
I’m Julia (Juli), a Senior UX and Product Designer with around 6 years of experience helping teams create impactful solutions.
My work has taken me across the entire product lifecycle, from research and strategy to prototyping and iteration. My studies have been a significant influence on how I think and approach design, from the importance of branding and communication to the psychological overlaps between user experience and communication theory.
I’m passionate about translating complex problems into usable solutions that harmonize user needs, business objectives, and technical realities.
I enjoy teaming up with global, multidisciplinary teams and navigating both synchronous and asynchronous workflows.
… all while staying fueled by curiosity… and a good cup of coffee.
My design career launched
when UX design, as a passion, found me during university classes. Meanwhile graduating, I applied to Hearsay Systems, a SaaS company with 300 employees, and joined as a UX/UI intern. I was dedicated to a distributed, compliant platform for professionals working in highly regulated industries.
Over four and a half years, I grew from intern to mid-level product designer, gaining hands-on experience in a corporate, cross-functional SaaS environment. I led initiatives, collaborated closely with engineering and product.
In 2023, I received the “Strong Team Player” company award.
Now, as a Product Designer at Yext
I focus on creating thoughtful solutions for a global digital presence platform that supports multi-location brands with over 2,300 employees worldwide. Here, I apply my expertise in digital presence and communication, leading end-to-end design, developing scalable proposals, and shaping UX strategy in a global environment.environment.
I’m eager to continue learning, which I pursue by exploring design innovations, through my membership in the Interaction Design Foundation and by learning new languages.
My future-looking goal is to eventually mentor, lead and teach the next generations.
Outside of work
I’m a regular of MeetUps, recently diving into service design, accessibility and AI. I attended conferences like Amuse and Impact. One day I’d love to be on stage presenting.
Outside of the professional bubble, I’m drawn to art. Concerts and museums are my happy place. I also have a soft spot for language learning, and I love experimenting in the kitchen. My best ideas come while I’m cooking.
For me, it’s important to spend time in nature, as much as going to the gym and running with friends.
